How to change pitch online
Pitch shift raises or lowers musical/voice pitch measured in semitones. This page opens the Pitch panel after you load a file so you can preview before exporting.
- Choose a file — drop MP3, WAV, or another supported format.
- Set Pitch — use the slider (center = Natural). Tick marks jump to Low, Natural, or High.
- Wait for processing when prompted — heavier shifts may show a busy state; playback swaps when ready so you hear a clean preview.
- Save — export the pitched result. Other editor tools remain available if you need trim or EQ next.
Pitch without speeding up
Simple resampling changes pitch and speed together. This Pitch tool aims to preserve tempo so a song does not race or crawl when you move the key. For duration-only changes, use the Audio Speed Changer instead.
Creative and practical uses
- Match a singer’s range by nudging a backing track a few semitones.
- Design playful voice effects for shorts and demos.
- Correct a take that was recorded slightly flat or sharp for rough drafts.
- Combine with EQ to keep consonants clear after a larger shift.
Quality tips
- Small shifts sound more natural than extreme ones.
- Clean, dry recordings shift better than roomy noisy tapes.
- If artifacts appear, reduce the shift amount or trim to a shorter region first.
